The southern portion of the Mantario Trail begins at the southern end of Caddy Lake and winds through the boreal shield to an excellent backcountry campsite at Caribou Lake. This trail is located within part of the wilderness zone of Whiteshell Provincial Park and can be quite difficult to navigate with some steep ascents and wet areas to hike through.
